Background of the study

Most of people have their tablet that can use in different ways. It is design us technology continues it
fast development. Nowadays it has a huge part in our education system because accoding to vice
president sara Duterte, blended learning will continue to be implemented as part of the switch to in-
person classes. The purpose of this study is to know the correlation of using tablet to the academic
perpormance of the students.

To the Students. After this research, students will be more aware of what are the effects of tablets on
their academic performance and thus they could adjust what is needed depending on the results of the
research, if it will be proven that tablets increase one’s ability to do, or if it would decrease instead. Also
this may serve as an eye-opener to those students.

To the Parents. Parents will know the effect of using tablets on their children's academic performance,
this research would let the parents understand one of the factors of why their children get better grades
or lower grades instead. They will be aware of the effects of using tablets on the academic performance
of grade 12 students.

To the Teacher. The teachers would be more considerate about the idea that tablets are not at all bad
for a student’s academic performance, but also, this research will show them to what extent tablets are
useful to a class. And it will help the teacher to provide e encouragement to think of ideas that will give
proper guidance to the students.

To the School. The result of this study will also be useful in the school to have more knowledge about
the use of tablets. And this study will be able to guide the students for them to know what are the
possible effects of using tablets.

To the Future Researchers. This may serve as the basis for the future research that they will conduct. It
can also be the source of their data gathering and relaying information.
DEFINITION OF TERM

DepEd. (DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION) the department provided laptops and tablets to learners and
teachers to ensure the better academic performance of the students. DepEd also has big contribution to
the student in their learning support.

LGU. (LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS) were distributed by the Provincial Government of Pangasinan led by
Governor Amado I. Espino III, to the five school divisions of the province

Students’ academic performance (sap). Refers to the achievement of a student measured by their
assessment scores on a quiz or what particular examination it is and others.

Tablet. Easy to use, even easier than desktop and laptop computers. And invoking the need to ensure
quality education in all public schools. Tablets have an effect on the academic performance of the
respondents

Technology. Any tools that enhance Grade 12 students learning and achievements electronic devices, or
machines that make work easier to perform.
