PROJECT DESIGN
I. TITLE: 2017 SCHOOL’S GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

II. RATIONALE:

Focuses on the socially constructed basis of differences between men and women
and emphasizes the need to challenge existing gender roles and relations.

In line with this, DepEd issued Memorandum No. 88, s. 2016 entitled: Conduct of
Gender and Development Activities which is pursuant to Executive Order No. 273 entitled
Approving and Adopting the Philippine Plan for Gender-Responsive Development and
Republic Act No. 9710, otherwise known as the Magna Carta of Women, that mandates
gender and mainstreaming and gender-responsive in all agencies’ programs, activities,
projects and policies.

In connection to this, the teaching personnel of San Lorenzo Elementary School will
conduct GAD training to be held at Shercon Resort and Ecology Park on 10 th and 11th day of
April, 2017.

III. OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of the training are the following: to promote camaraderie among
teaching personnel and to promote equality for both male and female in terms of role,
responsibilities, and expectations between them.

IV. TARGET DATE: April 10 & 11, 2017

V. PARTICIPANTS

The participants are the 16 national teachers of San Lorenzo Elementary

School.

VI. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS

16 packs of 2 snacks and 1 lunch @ 175 per packs for 2 days = P 5600.00
Rent of venue = P 5000.00
Rent of van = P 5000.00
Training supplies = P 600.00
TOTAL P16200.00

VIII. RECOMMENDATION

To facilitate the implementation of this project, the San Lorenzo Elementary School
of Mauban North District headed by CELERINA M. ABARICIA, Principal I is requesting that
this project design amounting to 16,200.00 be approved.
