Technology for Teaching and Learning 1

1. How technology influenced my life as a learner?

We cannot deny that in this age of modernization, and with the great influence
and wide-spread impact of technology around the world, things have become easier
and brighter. In the same way, as a learner, I can honestly say that when the
technology was introduced to me, everything has changed especially in the field of
my academics. That technology has a lot to offer and has the power to change lives,
including mine.

Through technological advancements and the significant contribution of the

internet, it has become much easier and smarter for me to access learnings, ideas,
knowledge, and lessons because everything is now available on the internet, such as
on websites, Google, and other social media platforms. That we no longer need to go
to libraries or other remote locations because everything you are looking for that you
don't know and are curious about is already available and presented on the internet
with a single click.

 Furthermore, technology enabled me to more easily exchange and deliver

information with my teachers and classmates. That even though we are separated
by distance, we can still collaborate, connect, and work together because technology
has made things possible, particularly during the pandemic era when online classes
were implemented. Whereas, in the midst of the global crisis, technology became our
convenient tool to save us, make things possible, and continue our learnings. And
now that we are in the face-to-face setting of learning, as an Education student, I
can't deny that it is still very important and necessary for me to have this so-called
technology because it is already part of my learning, especially since we are in the
new generation, that we, learners, need to be innovative, that we really need
technologies to use such as smart tv's, projectors, laptops, smartphones, printers,
and of course with the presence of the internet in order for us to acquire and adopt
learnings uncomplicated and smoother. 

To summarize, technologies have become an integral part of my life as a

student, serving as a bridge for me to communicate, acquire, and exchange
information, ideas, and knowledge on a global scale, as well as to make things
possible, greater, and attainable. Thanks to the advancement of technology, because
without it, my life as a learner would be very different from what it is today, and I
would struggle to survive my journey as a learner.

2. As a future teacher, how will I use technology in teaching?

Learners in this generation are vastly different from learners in previous

generations. Particularly now that students are being exposed to new technologies.
That is why, as a future teacher, I need to double my effort and use technology as
one of my effective strategies to make the learning more attainable and easier. That
I will use technology as one of my instructional materials to create visual lessons
and presentations such as power point presentations to present the lessons,
watching and sharing video lessons, and other creative visuals with the use of
technology that will be required for my discussion. Because I am convinced that
when we present innovative ideas and information to students, they will be more
attentive and focused. And once I have my learners' attention and focus, I can
guarantee that they will learn more easily and quickly.
