This assignment helped me grow my understanding of Learning Differences because I read my
classmates' responses. In reading their responses, I was able to see how differently each of them
responded to the same questions. This was like seeing real-life examples of learning differences.
I learned how to teach tolerance and acceptance because this assignment made me think about
how important teaching these topics is, especially in the younger years to squash out any
intolerance that could already be in the hearts of my students. This assignment is also an example
of how to talk about social issues in the classroom respectfully. This assignment helped me learn
about humanitarianism because it showed me how everyone has a social issue that they care
about. I learned more about civic engagement because reading my classmates’ posts and writing
my own made me think about ways I can make a difference regarding the discussed social issues.
