Synopsis :

Nobita’s life was getting better with Doraemon’s futuristic gadget, although he warns

Nobita not to rely too much on his gadgets. Then, Doraemon explained to Nobita that he will

be marrying Shizuka “Sue”, Nobita’s crush, if his life was corrected. Knowing that. Nobita

asked Doraemon to help him to win Shizuka’s heart with his gadgets. Doraemon agreed with

that in order to make Nobita’s life to be better, with so, Doraemon can go back to 22nd

century.

The first gadget Doraemon used in this situation is “the imprinting egg”, a gadget to

make someone fall in love to whomever he/she saw after being incubated. Doraemon

explained that Shizuka “Sue” needed to be incubated in that gadgets for 15 minutes and

Nobita needs to stand right in front of her after the incubation method in order to make
Shizuka falls in love with Nobita. But things weren’t go as expected, Shizuka “Sue” ended up

being closer with her crush named Dekisugi, Nobita’s rival in love.

After what happened, Nobita was scolded by Doraemon saying that he was too

dependent on Doraemon’s gadgets, he explained that Nobita was never really trying his best

to achieve what he wants, with that attitude, Nobita will never correct his future. Nobita was

shocked hearing that, and had a deep thought on Doraemon’s words. So after that, Nobita

attempted to study hard in order to become a better person and pass his next test, but his

clumsiness caused him another fail because he studied the wrong subject. Being depressed,

Nobita decided to let Shizuka go to make her happier.

One day, Nobita returned Shizuka’s book to her father and leaved a goodbye message

to Shizuka. Hearing that, Shizuka realized that something is wrong with Nobita and asked

him what’s wrong with him. But Nobita decided to make Shizuka hate him in expectation

that Shizuka will never talk to him anymore. Mistaking him to commit suicide, Shizuka went

to Nobi residence (Nobita’s house) to talk to Nobita. Nobita asked Doraemon a gadget to

drive her away, and he gave Nobita “bug off drink”, a people-repelling potion. After Nobita

drank all of it, even his mother and Doraemon was forced to go away from Nobita, but

Shizuka kept coming to Nobita to help him. After that incident, Doraemon gave Nobita a hint

that his future had changed a little that he will marry Shizuka, and told him to have more faith

in himself.

Review/ Critics:

In this part of the movie, we can start seeing the morals of the movie. The good thing

is Nobita starts to learn from his mistakes and tries to be a better person. But eventhough

Nobita tried his best in studying, he is still the same clumsy boy. This is shown by him

studying the wrong subject for the test. At last, he still fail his test. It makes him depressed.
There are parts where this movie is not appropriate for children viewers, which is shown

when Nobita failed his test again and became so depressed, followed by Giant and Suneo

talked to each other about how they would have had suicidal thoughts if they were Nobita.

Since this cartoon is intended for children viewers, this movie should not contains such

grown ups conversation. Suicidal thoughts are serious stuffs that should not be introduced to

children. Another inappropriate part of this movie is when Nobita tries to make Shizuka hate

him by lifting up her skirt and reveals her underwear. This is a very inappropriate content to

be shown to children. Children are not able to differentiate what’s proper and what’s not. it

would be dangerous if a child watches this scene unsupervised. I think they should not add

that scene into the movie or change it with something more appropriate. It is not a good

behaviour and children would make it a habit just because it looks funny.
