II. Major Accomplishments

In November 15. We, the students and our Field advisers met at Bubonga Madanding
for the Tactic Session. Ma’am Go explained to us how are we going to do the
Community wide training and the Org-based training because it is anchored to the
project. then Sir Roel discussed to us the steps on how are we going to do the Project
Needs Assessment, the project proposal and how are we going to implement the project.

In December 3. We, the facilitators held a meeting with the organization for the project
needs assessment and the Community training. As for the Community training, we
introduced to them that Disaster preparedness is the desired training of the community
according to the survey. We also asked the members of the organization what they
desire to conduct a training session about livelihood.
In December 12, we printed a courtesy letter and flow of program, we went to the
Municipaliy of Buadiposo-buntong Rescue team to tap a resource person for our
Community Wide Training. But unfortunately, the authorized person is not around.
In December 20, our request letter in the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction
Management Office of Buadiposo-buntong was approved by Sir Khana, he gave an
order to Sir Abdul Mahid U. Doro to be the resource person. Sir Abdul Mahid
scheduled the training in December 21. We were rushed but we are so thankful the
training will be conducted.
In December 21. We, the facilitators invited the community people and we decorated
the Multi-purpose Hall, we also printed tarpaulin to make it more creative and real. The
Disaster Risk Reduction Management training went very well, the BDRRMC, and the
participants were very much enjoyed and learned a lot about rescuing a victim, the
BDRRMC acted a scenario that they were rescuing a victim. We appreciated much the
effort of Sir Abdul Mahid and the full participation of the BDRRMC.

III. Problems and Issues

❖ Barangay Chairwoman is not around on the day of training because his son admitted
somewhere hospital in Manila.

IV. Actions Taken

➢ We invited Bapa Basher as a representative of Barangay Chairwoman Norhamimah.

V. Learning Insights
✓ I learned a lot about the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Training because even
if we are the Community Organizers of the training, I am still a student that want to
learn about the trainings too. I got an idea of how to rescue a victim in a proper manner.
