Introduction

According to the study, “Cutting during Class Among Senior High

School Students,” due to their desire to understand and conduct in-depth

investigations on how various people behave, particularly junior and senior

students who manage class cutting and how such behavior affects their

academic success. The pupils must comprehend how crucial it is to be in class

in high school in order to receive the quality education they will require in the

future. The student's time in high school not only affects herself in the future

but also the future of their families. Therefore, it is crucial that students

understand the potential consequences of skipping classes in their subject

areas.

In order to understand and address class cutting, a qualitative study

was done with public high school students and guidance counselors in the

north-eastern United States of America. The results are presented in this

paper. According to our research, interactions between students and guidance

counselors resemble negotiations.

Nevertheless, rather than being clear, these negotiations are implicit.

Guidance counselors have a useful tool in explicit negotiations to explore

cutting with all parties involved, including parents, teachers, administrators,

and kids. Explicit negotiations can look at the underlying problems and

tensions that led to the student's cutting, the social significance of the action
for him or her, desired objectives, roadblocks to achieving those outcomes,

and the negotiation process itself. Not only can direct negotiations help

guidance counselors with prospective students, like teachers' uneasiness,

Cutting courses is rife at public schools in the Philippines because there

is A large student body and ineffective security make it difficult for the school

to keep an eye on things. Education institutions provide as a place for

students to not only sacrifice their minds and receive feedback on their mental

abilities, but also to fix and discipline any behavioral, moral, and social issues

that may arise once a sufficient amount of time has passed for the issue to

emerge.

Many pupils who participated in it developed a habit out of it. The

teachers and staff are all bothered by it, though. There needs to be an end to

the rising number of students who cut class. The research was carried out at

Candijay National High School S.Y. 2022-2023. The respondents for this study

on cutting classes will be junior high and senior school students.

Students are greatly impacted by class cancellations. (In addition, pupils'

missing classes have an impact on their parents). Parents were the ones who

had earned money they allot for their children's education is purposefully

wasted by the child, and teachers are also impacted by the students'

performance; if it is discovered that they lost a student during class hours, they

will be reprimanded, or worse, filed a case against them. Therefore, in this

study, the researchers want to understand that attending class is essential for

a good education and a good future.
