GRADE 7
Learning Area: SCIENCE Week No. _3_ Date Covered: Jan. 26-29, 2021
MELCS: Module 3: Describe the different levels of biological organization from cell to biosphere (S7LT-IIc-3)
Objectives:
1. Identify the different levels that make up an organism.
2. Describe how these parts work and affect the higher levels and the entire organism.
3. Describe the parts that make up the each level of organization in plants and animals.
DATE AND LEARNING TASK
TIME
Wake up, make up your bed, eat breakfast and get ready for an awesome day!
Have a short exercise/ meditation/ bonding with family
Preliminaries/ Introduction  Introducing the lesson to the learner and presenting the
(What I need to Know) learning competencies needed to be learned
Pre-Assessment  Let the students answer the pre-test to diagnose
(What I Know) knowledge about the new lessons.
PROCEDURES
1. Review  In this part, a recall or review about the two types of
(What’s In/Elicit) components mainly the solute and solvent in a solution.

2. Motivation  To introduce the lesson a simple activity entitled “What

(What’s New)/Engage makes up an organism is presented.

3. Discussion of the  To gain knowledge about this topic, the following topics
Lesson are introduced
(What Is It/Explore ) a. Parts of ten major organs systems of the body
b. Important function of each part in helping the body
to work
c. Plant organs and organ systems
d. Parts and function of each organ

4. Enrichment  The learners’ understanding of the lesson will be

Activities assessed or test by analyzing the picture to identify the
(What’s More/ Explain) levels of biological organization.

5. Generalization  Read and analyze the concepts/ideas about the levels of

(What I Have Learned/ biological organization as the hierarchy of living
Explain) organisms from simplest to complex.
6. Application  Check your understanding of the lesson by identifying
(What I can do/ the parts and function of a ball pen. Apply what you
Elaborate) have learned by accomplishing the activity “Ball pen
Assembly on page 13.
7. Assessment  Check your understanding of the lesson by answering
(Evaluate) the post test on pages 22-24.
8. Additional Activity  Answer the additional activities by writing the key
