I. NARRATIVE REPORT

In line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 10533, or the

Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, the Department of Education (DepEd) issues
the enclosed policy on The Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K to 12 Basic Education
Program School-Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy for the
Improvement of Teaching and Learning.
March 9, 2023, Thursday, Science Department had a third Lac Session. This
was held at the Computer Laboratory of Antonio C. Esguerra Memorial National
High School with the leadership of Science Department Chairman, Mr. Ramil B.
Bellen.
The program are divided into three sessions, 10:00-10:50 is the opening
program. It was started by an opening prayer led by Mrs. Ma. Virlene D. Imperial,
followed by an opening remarks delivered by Mr. Cesar E. Azores, both are Science
9 Teachers. Mr. Azores brings up the meeting ettiquet and the importance of having
Lac Session. After that, teachers took the pretest.
The second session begun at 2:00-2:50 in the afternoon. And to formally start,
Ms. Ailyn S. Magtahao introduced the resource speaker. This session was greatly
informative. The speaker was Mr. Ramil B. Bellen, the Science Department Head and
passionate Teacher III of Antonio C. Esguerra Memorial National High School. His
topic is about ‘’Capacity Building and Professional Development through LAC
Session. In his talk, he discussed about the containment of Deped Order No. 35, s.
2016
(The Learning Action Cell As A K to 12 Basic Education Program School-Based
Continuing Professional Development Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching
and Learning). He clearly define what LAC is and its purpose in Treaching and
Learning activity. He also explained the theoretical framework of LAC Session and
its Key aspects. He clearly discussed the kind of culture and values that are needed
to create and sustain effective LACs.
Finally, the speaker energetically answered all the questions by the
participants. Following this is giving of certificate facilitate by Mr. Cesar E. Azores as
a program moderator

 Closing remarks were delivered by Mr. Ramil B. Bellen with a thankful heart
for the successful Lac session, followed by a closing prayer led by Mr. Rolin L.
