These are the programs set in motion by the
United Nations through the World Health
Organization and in partnership with the world
bank which targets specific health problems.
When we say Global Health Initiatives these
are the program and projects which help
address the global health issues, concerns
and trends.

In the previous quarter you have learned and


understood how the government works with
various institutions and sectors to address
health related issues and concerns.

What is Global Funds? (Student will read the definition of Global Funds)
It is a funding projects and partnership designed
to accelerate the end of AIDS, Tuberculosis and
Malaria as epidemics.
Did you know that global funds mobilizes and
invests more than four (4) Billion dollars a
year to support programs run by local experts
In more than 100 countries.
The budget is spent to support programs that
fight AIDS, TB and Malaria.

initiatives and programs that fight TB, AIDS
and Malaria
