ACTIVITIES: SET INDUCTION:
PRE-LESSON 1. Teacher draws stick figures of 2 men, a small hut (teach or check this word if
necessary) and the moon on the board / teacher shows the picture.
2. Without telling them the story, teacher tells pupils to predict the connection between
the men, the hut and the moon.
3. Elicit suggestions from the whole class and write them briefly on the board.
LESSON DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY 1: Think-Pair-Share (20 minutes)
**differentiation strategies 1. Pupils are seated in pairs.
2. One pupil from each pair will come forward and listen to the real story from the
teacher.
3. Later, pupils will share the real story to partner based on their understanding.
4. Pupils compare their predictions with real connection in the story briefly in pairs and
then as a whole class.
**For pupils with lower proficiency, teacher may use simpler and lesser words / shorter
story with pictures to help them with the task.

ACTIVITY 2: Draw-it (Using Animaker.com) (37 mins)


1. In pairs, pupils create a story board of the story of the moon, based on their
understanding.
2. On a piece of paper, pupils jot down their rough idea based on the task given and
refer teacher for assistance.
3. Once done, pupils go to the said website and make their own comic. Pupils may
choose their own characters and environment for the cartoon.
4. Pupils complete their story and present the cartoon to class afterwards.
**If the internet connection is not working, teacher may substitute the task to drawing
activities. For weaker pupils, teacher may provide the cartoons and print it to them. Ask
pupils to write the dialogue to show their understanding to the story.
