REFLECTION
On the day of Exhibit and Seminar it was very enjoyable, tiring and informative
day in Veranza Mall. The speaker Ma’am Vienna Borro presentation was very
inspirational and informative speech, she highlighted the places that she visit and some
tourist spot in Sarangani. One part of her speech that I found to be very interesting is
when she explained some of the tourist destinations in Sarangani, especially my
hometown Municipality of Maasim. I was not expecting that Maasim is has a big helped
put an end to the power shortage in Mindanao because of the Sarangani Energy
Corporation plant provides power to around four million people residing in Sarangani
Province, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Dapitan, Dipolog, Pagadian, Digos,
Samal, Butuan, Koronadal, Kidapawan, and other key areas of Mindanao. The next
speaker Sir Rain Ramas discussed his experience entering in Tourism Industry, how he
face all the rejection coming from other companies. What made me realized is that if it’s
not your time, it’s not gonna make it. He stated the importance of tourism industry
especially in future tourism professionals. The importance of tourism can be attributed
to the educational value that it provides. Travelers and tourists can learn many things
while undertaking a tourist experience, from tasting authentic local dishes to learning
about the exotic animals that they may encounter. One of very fascinating section of her
speech when he discussed the history and mysterious places in General Santos City, all
of the students are attentive to hear all of his story.
My Exhibit and Seminar was one that I will never forget. It honed my skills in my
chosen filled which is Tourism Management, I was able to explore interact with people
of various personality, get to know the ideal of my future career and most importantly, I
get to develop my skills in tourism with the hustle, fun and learning that I’ve had in this
seminar. I also get to know myself I realized what I really want in the future I was able to
reflect the advantages and the disadvantages of Tourism Management. I know that I
can already adjust in my future work after graduation and I will be able to pursue my
dream job as a student. I can say that over all the exhibit and seminar is great, I learn a
lot while I’m exploring and learning when making the booth made me realized for all
thing that I lack of and change me to become a better one. I’ve learned a lot of things
that I can use in the near future. Exhibit and Seminar is really a beneficial for me
because it is where I discover the thing I can’t imagine to do and on this stage will say
that I was thankful because of encountered and experiences this because I have know
the idea what will bring my chosen course to me in the near future and I am looking
forward for that. All the information learned on this can also open new opportunities for
us. This knowledge will be beneficial to me as I may consider applying in Tourism
Industry. I will truly miss the bonding and will value all the information obtained.
