B. Before we get started on our topic for today, I'll show you several photographs and ask for your
opinion on each one. If you wish to respond, kindly raise your hand.
Lesson Proper:
Our topic for today is different types of wire and cables and electrical wire termination. It seems that
you are familiar with wires and cables, right? now where can it be mostly using the cables and wires, Yes
(name of student)

Introduction

Electrical wires and cables are essential components in any electrical system. They are used to transmit
electrical power or signals from one point to another. They come in different types, sizes, and materials,
and choosing the right one for a particular application is crucial. Proper wire termination is also
important to ensure safe and reliable electrical connections. This report provides an overview of
electrical wires and cables, their types, and wire termination methods.

Types of Wires and Cables:

Electrical wires and cables can be classified into various types based on their construction, use, and
insulation. Some common types of wires and cables are:

Solid wire

Stranded wire

Coaxial cable

Twisted-pair cable

Fiber optic cable

Wire termination refers to the process of connecting wires to a device, component, or another wire.
There are different methods of wire termination, and the choice of method depends on the application
and the type of wire being used. Some common wire termination methods are:

1. Wire wrapping

Wire wrapping is a process of connecting wires to a terminal using a thin wire that is wrapped around
the terminal.
2. Wire nuts

Wire nuts are plastic caps that screw onto the end of the wires to connect them. They are commonly
used in residential electrical wiring.

3. Crimp connectors:

Crimp connectors are metal sleeves that are crimped onto the ends of the wires to make a connection.
They are commonly used in automotive and marine applications.

4 Soldering:

Soldering involves heating the ends of the wires and applying solder to make a permanent connection.
It is commonly used in electronic and aerospace applications.

5. Terminal blocks:

Terminal blocks are devices that allow multiple wires to be connected to a single device or component.
They are commonly used in industrial applications.
Generalization

Teacher asks the students the following question:

1 Now that you have the knowledge of the different types of wire and cable and some termination: right
so I want to ask someone about the types of wire how many types of wire we discuss?

2. These wires have multiple strands of wires that are twisted together to form a conductor

3. This cable consists of two insulated wires twisted together.

4. This cable consists of an inner conductor, an insulating layer a metal shield and an outer jacket

5. It is a process of connecting wires to a terminal using this wire.
