Activities
i. Pre-lesson : Circulate Names!
(10 minutes) 1. Pupils sit in a circle to introduce themselves, “I’m Maryah”.
2. Pupils introduce themselves and the pupil to their right/left in
the circle, “His name’s Izzul / Her name’s Dayang”.
3. Pupils play memory game in the circle to remember names.
Spin the bottle for turn-taking.
ii. Lesson Development : 1. Teacher introduces adjectives (Student’s Book page 5) using
(30 minutes) Adjective flashcards.
2. Pupils listen to an audio (Track 2) played and look at teacher
raises Adjective flashcards corresponding to the audio. Teacher
demonstrates the listening activity.
Listen and Raise!
3. Pupils listen to the audio again.
4. Pupils raise their Adjective flashcards corresponding to the
audio.
5. Pupils are evaluated by teacher while they raised the flashcard..
iii. Post-lesson : Fan and Pick
Lesson 1 Listening 1
(20 minutes) 1. Selected pupils pick adjective flash cards.
2. Pupils describe himself/herself based on their selected flashcard
by using sentence structures; “I’ve got…” or “I haven’t got…”
and “It’s…” in front of the class.
Assessment : Teacher monitors carefully as the pupils listen to the audio to
evaluate their vocabulary and listening skill. Teacher reviews
vocabulary in the next lesson if necessary.
