General Description
Pelican Rack Cooling System
Effectivity : ALL

A. Introduction
The pelican rack cooling system supplies fresh air to the components installed in
the pelican rack. An auxiliary blower (1, Figure 1 Sheet 1) that is controlled by an
operation temperature sensor (3) puts fresh air into the area around the pelican rack.
Two rack blowers (4) move the fresh air around the equipment of the pelican rack.

B. Auxiliary Blower
The auxiliary blower (1) is installed in the bottom of the area of the rear avionics bay
on the left side.

C. Rack Blowers
There are two rack blowers (2) installed on the bottom of the pelican rack.

D. Temperature Sensors
There are two temperature sensors, an operation sensor (3) and an overheat sensor
(4). They are installed above the pelican rack in the cover of the rear avionics bay.

E. Circuit Breakers
The electrical supply is through three circuit breakers. Two of the circuit breakers
have the identification BLW PEL (6 and 7). The other circuit breaker has the
identification INST COOL (5). All of the circuit breakers are installed on the overhead
panel in the cockpit. The circuit breaker INST COOL (5) also supplies the instrument
cooling system, 21-22-02 and the avionics deck cooling system, 21-22-01.
