1. INTRODUCTION
A topographical survey is an accurate depiction of a site (property, area of land,
defined boundary) which is scaled and detailed to show all the natural and manmade
features and their levels. A topographical survey is highly detailed and requires the
involvement of topological professionals to ensure the accuracy of the reports provided.
The purpose of a topographic survey is to gather spatial information relating to the site and
its natural and man-made land features. This can often be related to national Ordnance
Survey grid and datum information (often using GPS) and is surveyed by point. It is
typically accepted that points are positioned in three dimensions which facilitates ground
modelling and visualizations to be produced from the topographical survey.
2. DETAIL OF SITE
Project location on PLTMG 25 MW Panaran. Detail of the site & various
locations tes are shown below.
3. SCOPE OF WORK
The main scopes of work for topographical survey are as follows:
4. BENCH MARK
The term benchmark, bench mark, or survey benchmark originates from the
chiseled horizontal marks that surveyors made in stone structures, into which an angle-
iron could be placed to form a "bench" for a leveling rod, thus ensuring that a leveling rod
could be accurately repositioned in the same place in the future. These marks were usually
indicated with a chiseled arrow below the horizontal line. The term is generally applied to
any item used to mark a point as an elevation reference. Frequently, bronze or aluminum
disks are set in stone or concrete, or on rods driven deeply into the earth to provide a stable
elevation point. If an elevation is marked on a map, but there is no physical mark on the
ground, it is a spot height. In this project benchmark is using local coordinate, in this
project is using fence of boundary as reference coordinate.
