The learner demonstrate an understanding of the underlying

concepts and principles of insects.

II. PERFORMANCE STANDARD

The learner identify the Beneficial and the Pest Insect.

III. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the student must be able to:
  Identify nature and the label of the pest, infestation or
disease based on crop manuals and farm works
procedures.
 Identify the nature of pest and its types.

IV. CONTENT
A. Topic: Determine the need and chemical use
B. Values: Cooperation and Collaboration
C. References: Curriculum Guide, Module.
D. Materials: Laptop/Projector

V. PROCEDURE
1. Preliminary Activities
i. Prayer
ii. Energizer
iii. Checking of attendance
iv. Recalling on the previous topic,
 What have you learned about yesterday’s topic?

2. Lesson Proper
a. Motivational Activity

b. Analysis
The teacher shows picture, about Insects.
Let them identify what have they seen in the picture.

c. Abstraction:
Discussing and explaining the topic using PowerPoint
Presentation provided.
Discussion proper Crawling Insect and Flying Insect
 Insects

V. EVALUATION
 QUIZ:

Instruction : In a half sheet of paper give atleast 4 Flies Insect, 4

Crawling Insect, 3 Beneficial Insect and 3 Pest Insect.

VI. ASSIGNMENT: In a bond paper draw one Beneficial Insect and one Pest
Insect. Explain why is that insect can benefit the plants and why it can
destroy or harm the plants?
