PART I. OBJECTIVES

Content Standards The learners demonstrate understanding of how theatrical elements (sound,
music, gesture, movement and costume) affect the creation and
communication of meaning in Asian Festivals and Theatrical forms as
influenced by history and culture.
Performance The learners create appropriate festival attire with accessories based on
Standard authentic festival costumes.

Learning The learners identify the elements and principles of arts as manifested in
Competencies Asian festivals and theatrical forms. (A8PL-IVc-1 )

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

 Identify the different theatrical form and festivals of Thailand.

This morning we are going to tackle about the theater and festivals of Thailand. At the end of the
lesson, I am expecting that you will be able to, (read the objectives).

EXPLORE ACTIVITY 3: SHOW MO, WIT KO!


(15 mins) Group Students into 5. Each group shall have a leader, reporter and a
secretary. Let the students watch a video about Nang Talung and Nang Yai
of Thailand. Let them answer the Venn diagram below.

The following are the list of activities related to disaster preparedness Before, During,
or After a volcanic eruption.

BEFORE
-Pack bottles of potable water and portable radios with batteries.
-Have a family escape plan and avoid low-lying areas.
-If you live near a volcano, secure maps on the possible path of volcanic flow

DURING
-Tune in to the radio for advisories and warnings
-Wear protective gear – goggles, gas mask, long pants, and long sleeves.
-If indoors, close all windows, doors, and dampers to keep volcanic ash from
entering.
-Avoid inhaling volcanic dust by covering your face with a wet towel.
-Bring animals and livestock into closed shelters to protect them from
breathing volcanic ash.

AFTER
-Let friends and family know you're safe.
-If evacuated, return to your houses only when authorities say it is safe to
do so.
-Continue listening to local news for updated information and instructions
-If people around you are injured, practice CHECK, CALL, CARE. Check the
scene to be sure it's safe for you to approach, calls for help, and if you are
trained, provide first aid to those in need until emergency responders can
arrive.
