PERFORMANCE The learner demonstrate independently the procedures of processing

LEARNING Preserves food applying principles and skills in food preservation

LEARNING TARGETS The goal of food preservation is the prevention of spoilage. Delay in
the use of fresh foods alters its freshness, taste, and nutritive value thus
resulting to spoilage.
TRANSFER GOAL: Aim to use the food preservation for future consumption.

STRATEGIES ACTIVITIES
EXPLORE The class is divided into two groups. Each group has 1 representative to act the word
he/she picked. The class will be guess the word using body language. In 10 seconds
the will guess the word and the group got the high score will be declared as a winner.
FIRM UP Use of Brain Teaser, teacher asks the following question:What are the similarities
of these f o o d s s h ow e d i n t h e presentation:

DEEPEN The learners give an insight how to make the preservation and the teacher will show a
video how to preserved the food.
TRANSFER Performance Task: Individual task make their own pickled food using vegetables and
fruits.
