Fault description
The number 1 and number 2 cockpit fans do not operate and the VENT FAIL caution message is
shown on the MFD.

Before you disconnect or connect electrical connectors, disconnect the electrical power.
This to prevent electrical arcs between contacts which can cause damage to the
equipment.
• Before you do a resistance or continuity check, disconnect the electrical power. This will
prevent damage to the equipment.
Isolation procedure
1 Disconnect the connector B3P1 and B4P1 from the number 1 and number 2 cockpit
fans.
Do a 28 Vdc voltage signal check:

Disconnect the external electrical power from the helicopter. Refer to 39-A-12-41-00-
00A-510A-A.
Remove all the tools and the other items from the work area. Make sure that the work
area is clean.
