GENERAL RISK INFORMATION
FOREWORD
This report is based upon the prevailing conditions and information provided to
the survey team at the time of inspection. It consists of an appraisal of major
aspects of PRO. KHUMBO KALUA T/AS LAKEVIEW GUESTHOUSE including
management systems, identification of exposures and deficiencies, supported by
recommendations to diminish loss probability and severity.
INTRODUCTION
Lakeview Guesthouse
OWNERSHIP/OCCUPANCY
Currently the house is inhabitable state. However, there are some construction
materials in deferent rooms as follows:
BEDROOM ONE
- 300 boxes of floor tiles
- 250 (20kg) bags of tile adhesive
BEDROOM TWO
- About 50 bags of gyprol for ceiling
- 7 flush doors and wooden door frames
BATHROOM
- 14 tins of 20L paint
- Geyser
BEDROOM THREE
- 8 Sets of toilet materials
- 13 doors and door frames
- 4m folding door
BEDROOM FOUR
- About 50 bags of Njati power plus Cement
PLANNED EXTENSIONS
UTILITY SUPPLIES
The electricity will be supplied by ESCOM and wiring is already done. Water is
supplied by Blantyre Water Board.
STORAGE PRACTICES
Free standing storage practices noted. The storage heights were found to be
acceptable.
There are two local security guards and has never been any loss so far.
EXTERNAL/SURROUNDING EXPOSURE
POSTIVE FEATURES
The building has a brick wall fence in the three sides and the client is planning to
finish the other part by December. Also, to note is two local security guards who
have been at the premises since 2013.
OPINION OF RISK
Based on the security, location, and loss history of the risk I have the view that
risk is good.
