Week 03 - Task Assignment - Let me introduce my family

L𝗲𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘀, 𝗲𝗻 𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝘁𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗲

Hello everybody!

Now it's time for you to do the task for this week, so I invite you to check the instructions
below. Remember that if you need to review a topic, you can always check the course
material as often as needed. Keep in mind that you have to present this task during week
3.

1. Learning Outcome
Unidad 1: Looking back to the past.
At the end of the unit, the student explains past situations to develop in the English
Language at level A2 by using relevant grammar and vocabulary.

2. Lesson Outcome
At the end of the lesson, you and your team talk about the most important events of
your families by using the simple past (regular verbs) and vocabulary presented during
the week.

3. Description
a. Step 1:
i. Choose the most important events in your family history. Think
about the most important events in your family history. For
example your birthday,  your baptism, your parents’ wedding,
 etc.
ii. Each student selects two events.
iii. Look for photos of those events. 
b. Step 2: Write a conversation
i. Choose one or two partners.
ii. Think about the events you selected.
iii. Start your dialog by greeting your friend(s).
iv. Then, show your pictures to your friends to make them ask you
questions about them. For example:
v. Where were you in the picture?
vi. How old were you when the event happened?  
vii. When did this event happen?
viii. Where did you celebrate it?
ix. Why was it important for your family?
c. Step 3: Perform your conversation
i. Attend the workshops, reinforce, and practice the topics of the
week to do the task. You can register at Portal del Estudiante or
UTP+: Refuerzo Académico.

4. Considerations to record the video


a. Before recording the video
b. Work in pairs or groups of three.
c. Keep in mind the time you have for the task.
d. Use the grammar and vocabulary you have studied during the week.
e. Avoid using translators and make sure your ideas are coherent.
f. Practice your pronunciation, intonation, and vocalization.
g. Use a quiet place to record your conversation.
h. At the moment of recording the video
i. Show yourselves to the camera in a close-up or medium shot, without
covering your face.
j. Avoid recording yourselves in the shadows or giving your back to the
light.
k. Greet your audience and introduce yourselves at the beginning of the
video.
l. Use correct pronunciation, intonation, and vocalization.
m. Use the correct volume of voice; it should be neither too high nor too
low.
n. Use body language and show interest when listening to your partners.
o. Avoid reading your conversation.
p. Use the time allotted for the task.
q. Finish the video by saying goodbye to your audience.
r. After recording the video
s. Double-check your video before submitting it.
t. If you have a link, make sure the access to your video is open.
