(AC-S11) Week 11 - Task: Assignment –

What's your best friend's routine?


Hello everybody!
Now it's time for you to do the task for this week. Read the instructions below.
Remember that if you need to review a topic, you can always check the course material
as many times as you need. Keep in mind that you have to present this task during
week 11.

1. Outcome
Through this activity, students talk about their best friend´s daily routine using the
grammar and vocabulary learned in Weeks 10 and 11.

2. Description
• Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs).
• Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
• Step 3: Prepare a 1- minute presentation with your partner.
o Situation: You and your partner are talking about each other´s best friend. Ask
and answer questions about each of your best friend´s name, age, occupation
and daily routine. Add something your best friend does not do as part of his/her
routine.
 Student A asks B questions about his/her best friend´s personal
information and routine. Student B responds and mentions an activity that
is not part of his/her best friend´s routine.
 Student B asks A questions about his/ her best friend´s personal
information and routine. Student A responds and mentions an activity that
is not part of his/her best friend´s routine.
o Content:
 Vocabulary and expressions from Unit 3 (Weeks 10 – 11).
 Routines
 Time / Parts of the day.
 Collocations
 Yes / No Questions: Does he/she (verb base form)…? Does he/she work? /
study ? / go to the ......?
 Wh- questions: What / where / when / who does he/she (verb base
form)…?
 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person singular in affirmative and negative form: I (don´t)
work/ You (don’t)/He / She (doesn’t) work / study / play / do homework
etc.
 Vocabulary and expressions from Units 1 and 2 if necessary.

• Step 4:
o Practice the dialogue with your partner paying attention to the pronunciation
and intonation.
o Practice again and record the dialogue.
o Remember to transmit your personal emotions as in a real situation.
• Step 5: Once you are ready, record yourselves in multimedia in the virtual platform
or upload your video in Youtube /Drive and share the link in a Word format in the
virtual platform.
• Step 6: Use the following structure:
o Cover: Your names and last names must be there. Include your photos. There
are 2 options to do it: (Choose one)
▪ Option 1: Insert the cover in your video, if you record it in the virtual
platform.
▪ Option 2: Insert the cover in a Word format with the YouTube link/Drive
link.
