C. EXPLANATION
What is sound?

Sound is created when something vibrates and

sends waves of energy (vibration) into our ears.
The vibrations travel through the air or another
medium (solid, liquid or gas) to the ear. The
stronger the vibrations the louder the sound.
- For a sound to exist, it needs someone
that produce it. Like for example; a guitar and of
course a ear to receive it. when we play the guitar
string , it produces vibrations that travels in waves
to our ears that’s why we hear it.
sound speed depends on the medium because it
travels through.
In solids, like iron. Sounds waves travel at a great
space.
In liquid, like water they travel a little slower and
in gasses, like air is where they travel the slowest.

Sounds also is a type of energy, therefore anything

which makes any sounds also were energy. Like for
example, when you turn on the refrigerator, it
starts to produce a humming sound. This means
the fridge is using energy to produce sounds.

There are 3 properties of sounds:

 Intensity
 Pitch
 Timbre
Intensity – defines if the sound is loud or soft.
Example: guitar
Pitch – defines is the sound are high pitch or low
Pitch. Example: dog
Timbre – defines what or who has generated the
Sounds. Example: flute
