Mika Manzanilla, and its such an honor to be here tonight! Thank you for staying late with
me, this 19th of June 1923.  Sit back and relax! We have an incredible show lined up for you
tonight, packed with entertainment, knowledge, and a slice of history. So, getting to the good
stuff. Let's talk about our featured person for today, Miguel Malvar. He is a Filipino general
and statesman, played a significant role in the Philippines' struggle for independence during
the Philippine-American War. While he was primarily known for his military leadership and
contributions, his ideas and principles can be applied in various fields and disciplines.
Talking more about Malvar's legacy, our guests tonight were the friends and relatives of the
notable general. They have been with Malvar for decades and they will be sharing the hero's
incredible journey with us. And give us a glimpse into his contributions and ideas and where
they could be best applied and how they could help the future Filipinos 1000 years from
now.  We have here Enrick Manuel and Abby Vano Uy who witnessed the great leadership of
General Malvar.  So, good evening! How are you?

Host (Mika): That's nice to hear! We heard that both of you witnessed the reign of the late
General Miguel Malvar. So... how was he as president? He is a man of principle. Can you
give us an overview to where can we apply his notable contributions or ideas? 

Abby: Military Strategy and Leadership: The Filipino general during the Philippine
Revolution and the Philippine-American War, Malvar developed and implemented military
tactics that had a significant impact on the outcomes of battles and campaigns. His strategies
can be studied to gain insights into effective approaches to guerrilla warfare, unconventional
tactics, and the challenges faced by a resistance force against a superior enemy. His
leadership qualities, decision-making process, and ability to mobilize and inspire his troops
offer valuable lessons in leadership, adaptability, and resilience in the face of adversity,
making Malvar’s ideas highly applicable and instructive in the realm of military strategy and

Philippines during my period. Being Malvar, opinions and services to historical studies are
essential since they give him a unique viewpoint from a Filipino leader during the Philippine

comprehensive knowledge of the motives, techniques, and obstacles of Filipino
revolutionaries, as well as the political and social milieu of the time. Historians can get great
