Quarter 3 Week 3
III. Introduction
Life itself is beautiful but it can never happen if you only feel
one emotion – merely sadness or happiness alone. Life can be
meaningful if you feel sad because of problems and challenges and
after that phase in your life happiness comes in.
Covid 19 pandemic bought stressful days to all people around
the globe from children to adults whom all can not have bonding
time together outside the homes to avoid the virus
contamination. Poverty , broken relationships , loss of loveones ,
sickness , different calamities like earthquakes, floods , typhoon ,
famine and the like. These scenarios will cause anxiety and
depression. If you will not help yourself to stay positive in life
under these circumstances you will end up having severe mental
illness or suicide which is the worst one. No matter what your life
situation is , there is always an available way for you to overcome
obstacles to being optimistic.
How to develop optimism , can you do it? Avoid getting hung
up on one thing, remember that there’s always a silver lining , get
over the past , be thankful , use positive affirmations, surround
yourself with positive people , watch your language to avoid
negative vibes. Remember that even a positive life has ups and
downs. You may create some positive Mantras and reflections,
focus on your success, get a role model , don’t try to predict the
future , keep a gratitude diary , and change your negative
thoughts.
Instead of saying “ Why is this happening to me?” say it this
way “ Thank you Lord for this challenges that made me stronger
under Your care” . Keep an open mind and perspective , surround
yourself with loved ones allow yourself to have bad days , make a
list of things you can manage , spend time in nature.
Nobody is exempted from experiencing hardships and
difficulties but if you pray to God for strength, wisdom, and hope,

you will not find it difficult to stay positive despite the challenges
that life is bringing your way.

However, after the plane takes off, within the next two hours, the

other choice, he agreed to the idea despite his hatred for driving long
distances. Dr. Ahmed got a car rented and went on his journey.
After some time, when the storm calmed a little. He finally found
a small tattered house. Desperately, he got out of the car and knocked
the door. A beautiful lady opened the door. He explained the matter
and asked her if he might use her telephone. The lady with a heavy
heart told him that she doesn’t have any phone connection but told the
doctor that it could come inside until weather improves. Fully
exhausted and hungry, he accepted her kind invitation and walked in
then she gave him hot tea and bread to eat.
The lady asked him if he could join her for prayers but Dr.
Ahmed smiled and said that he believes in hard work only and told her
to continue with her prayers. Sitting on the table and sipping the tea,
the Dr. watched the woman in the dim light of candles as she was
praying for someone next to her, maybe, a small baby crib. Every time
she finished a prayer, she again started with another prayer. Feeling
that the woman could be in need of something, the doctor seized the
opportunity to speak as soon as she finished her prayers. The doctor
asked her what exactly she wants from God and asked if God will ever
listen to her prayers. He further asked about the tiny kid in the crib for
whom she was apparently making a lot of prayers. The lady gave a sad
smile and said that the child in the crib is her son who is suffering
from a rare type of cancer and there is only one Dr. Ahmed who can
cure him but she doesn’t have money to afford his fee. Moreover, Dr.
Ahmed lives in another far off town. She aforementioned that God has
not answered her prayer so far but said that God is going to make
some way out one day and added that she will not allow her fears to
overcome her faith.
