III. Procedure:
A. Introduction
1. Preliminary Activities ( ESP Values Integration )
a. Start with a prayer.
b. Greet the students and create a positive classroom atmosphere.
c. Setting of Standard (Classroom Rules)

Today we are going to discuss and learn about “Naming Words”

Naming words

 Names a person, things, animals, places, etc.

But today, we are going to focus on these major categories.


 The teacher will use picture cards to demonstrate how to classify naming words into
different categories. For instance, use picture cards to categorize persons, things, animals,
and places separately on the blackboard.

More examples of persons:

Hannah is beautiful.

Teacher Mae is taking picture with her learners.

Sir Alvin together with the teachers eat buko.

More examples of things:

My mother bought me a new umbrella.

Kensars’ toy car is color green.


More examples of animals:

A turtle can swim and live in the water.

The cat and rat are enemies.

More examples of places:

I want to go to Pandilusan Island.

I live in Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Generalization
- Let the learners answer some of the pictures presented through PowerPoint and
answer it automatically.
- After the activity, ask the learners some of their ideas regarding naming words. Then
summarize key points.

C. Guided Practice
Now with your group, let us do the activities. But before that let me show you how I am
going to rate your group using this rubric.

ACTIVITY 1: Pick and Paste!


 Provide each group with a set of picture cards.
 Instruct the groups to classify the naming words into categories; person, things, animals,
and places.
 Circulate among the groups to provide guidance and support as needed.
ACTIVITY 2: Find and Encircle!
 Each group will be given an activity sheet wherein they need to color only the pictures
that fit in the category of naming words.

Direction: Color the box with the naming words for each picture.

 Assign homework related to naming words and categorization to reinforce the lesson's
