4 – Demonstrates an ability to prepare and operate purifiers (start / stop), and

understands the dangers and action to take in case of purifier malfunction.

Before start to the purifier NO.1, Make sure that the oil pipes, operating water pipes, and air pipes
are correctly connected and that the joints are firmly tightened.
Check to the lubrication oil in the gear case. This oil quantity shoul be confirmed with the oil gauge.
Make sure that the primary pressure of compressed air supply pressure is between 5 and 7 bars.
Make sure that the brake is in the non-braking position.
Make sure the direction of revolution. Turn on the starter. Start the motor and stop it simultaneously
(within 3 seconds) and check that the rotating direction of the motor or horizontal shaft is the same
as the arrow n the SELFJECTOR frame.
Set the power switch of the Multi-Monitor to ON, and check that all the switches in the Multi -
Monitor are in proper positions and necessary memory preset items/values are correctly set.

After prepared all this above list;

Open the sourve valve on the operating water pipe to make sure the pressure.(W-309V and WU-
304V İNLET). Required operating water pressure is between 3.5 and 5 bars.
Open the F-432V(TO F/O PURİFİER) valve which is before strainer.
Open the FU-402V(F/O İNLET) valve which is before gear pump.
Open the FU-431V(DEL.) valve which is after gear pump.
Open FU-413V(F/O FLOW ADJUSTABLE) valve.
Open FU-427V(HEATER 1 İNLET) valve.
Open TU-223V(STEAM İNLET) valve for Heater 1.
Open DU-22V(STEAM OUTLET) valve for Heater 1.
Open FU-429V(HEATER 1 OUTLET) valve.
Open FU-414V (INLET) valve.
Open FU-422V (OUTLET) valve.
Open FU-417V(TO F/O SERVİCE TANK) valve.
Open F-403V or F-405V(FM F/O PURİFİER) valve.
Open sludge discharge butterfly valve.
Open shut off valve(V11).
Turn power switches ON in order of the starter, automatic control panel and Multi-Monitor.And
make sure starter,automatic control panel and multi-monitor on.
Push the START button on the starter to start up the purifier. Make sure that the operation sound and
vibration are normal. İf there is any abnormal, stop immediately. After the start up revolution can be
reached from 5 to 10 minutes.( 8500RPM).
Turn the oil heater on. Make sure that the feed liquid is circulating in the heater. Check the inlet and
outlet temperature and make sure that oil heated up to the given temperature and there is circulating.
Adjust the heater temperature to 98C from TEMP. CONTROLLER FOR PURIF. FO.HEATER.
Push the AUTO START button.
Adjust the flow rate between 2200-23000 L/H by FU-413V(F/O FLOW RATE ADJUSTABLE).
Set pressure to 2.5bar. Lower limit is 1.7 bar by FU-422V(OUTLET) Pressure adjust.
After the temperature of feed liquid being fed is stabilized (approximately 5 minutes), check once
again the pressure of the level present in the Multi-Monitor.Readjust the pressure, if necessary.

Stopping procedure;
Push the AUTO STOP button on the automatic control panel.
Turn the heater off.
After making sure the purifier comletely stops, close both the feed inlet and outlet valve. Close
sludge discharge valve. Also make sure that the other valves and cocks are closed.
Turn power switches OFF in order of the Multi-Monitor, automatic control panel and starter.
