Hunters can thank landowners
through new portal on website
In Montana, many landowners allow hunting on
their lands with permission or as part of a Fish, Wildlife
& Parks access program. Now hunters have a simple way
to say thank you for the privilege of access.
Today FWP is launching a portal for hunters to
say thank you to landowners who provided access and
helped make their hunting season a success.
Hunters can go online, identify a landowner by
name and/or block management area and FWP region,
provide a note of thanks and even upload a photo. FWP
will collect these thank you notes and distribute them to
landowners at the end of the year.
“We frequently hear from hunters how grateful
they are for the access they get from landowners across
the state,” said FWP Director Dustin Temple. “Many
hunters enjoy incredible access to private lands. We want
to help facilitate communicating their gratitude to the
landowners who provide that access.”
This new online feature is part of the “It’s Up To Us”
campaign to promote ethical hunting. This campaign
is an annual effort with FWP and several partner
organizations to encourage hunters to take the initiative
to promote good hunter ethics and behavior, particularly
on private lands. The campaign website is fwp.mt.gov/
ItsUpToUs. Here hunters can find tips on ethical hunting,
links to informative video content and the new “Thank a
Landowner” portal.
FWP season setting meetings
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will host a series of
virtual and in-person public meetings around the state to
present proposed hunting regulations for 2024/2025 hunting
seasons. The Region 6 meeting will be held in Glasgow on
Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the Cottonwood Inn.
This will be the only meeting held in Region 6.
There will be a zoom option available for these meetings
that can be found by going to https://fwp.mt.gov/aboutfwp/
public-comment-opportunities/biennial-season-setting ,
where the full list of proposals can be found and comments
can also be recorded.
Public comment on the proposals will be accepted
through Nov. 21. Prior to the Dec. 14 Fish and Wildlife
Commission meeting, any of the commissioners can propose
amendments to the FWP proposals. Any amendments will
be discussed at the Dec. 14 meeting.
The public meeting in Region 6 will be held on Wednesday,
Novembrt 1st at the Cottonwood Inn and Suites, 54250 U.S.

Hostage Situation:
Can’t Happen To Me!

Really?
Do you know anyone who has ever been taken
hostage and held against their will? Perhaps even, God
forbid, yourself?
As the winds of World War Three swirl around the
middle east and Israel’s IDF (Israel Defense Forces) are
now on the move into the interior of Gaza, the United
States is now sending in C-17 Planes as well as Navy
ships and ground troops over to Israel!
Do you honestly think that those planes and ships
are empty? Personally, IMO, I do not. I have been in the
Military Intelligence arena, albeit in a very small way,
back when secrets were kept.
Well, not too many media outlets are speaking
about the almost 230 hostages that have been taken by
Hamas terrorists. But in what way are there guarantees
that they will be returned safely? I can only hope, but me
being a skeptic, doubt it and pray that I am wrong.
Closer to the opening question about knowing
anyone who has been taken hostage, well, coming from
a personal experience, yes, I do.
Let me briefly explain.
Lin was invited to attend a kind of a home shopping
party, you know, things that are to help around the
house. Lin was going to go with our small daughter
up to Reston, Virginia and be with her twin sister and
friends that she knew for a few years (and it was at Lin’s
former roommate’s) Deb’s apartment. I won’t use her last
name, but it was shortly before Debbie and Jim were to
get married. A beautiful couple.
Well, at the last minute I was called into duty and
told Lin that I could drop her and our daughter off at the
party, but Lin reluctantly declined. Lucky for her and us.
I went into D.C., but a few miles away over in
Reston, VA the party of girls gathered and were having
a typical young ladies gathering with merriment and
enjoying their stories as life went on. Lin’s twin sister had
just gotten married and was the old lady of the party at
about 21 years of age.
As the party began and was only in progress a short
time there came a knock at the door and Debbie, thinking
that it was another friend coming, did not bother to look
through the peep hole to see who it was and opened the
door. That was almost a fatal mistake for the gals in the
apartment and even worse for Debbie.
Three black men pushed the door open and
forced themselves into the room waving handguns
and screaming at the girls. It started out as a robbery
situation but turned into a long ordeal as the three made
themselves more aggressive. The three tied the girls up
in the bedroom and then went on a ransacking spree
tearing through the apartment looking for “loot” to
take.
They decided to take Deb hostage with them and
left the apartment. In the meantime, Lin’s twin had
worked the ropes loose and started to loosen a couple
of the girls ropes when they heard the door open again!
Lin’s twin and the others held onto their ropes as if they
were still tied and one of men came into the bedroom.
He told them he was there for their rings and jewelry
that they saw earlier.
At that time, the hostages were crying and they
pleaded with the guy to leave them something, they had
already stolen everything else from them! He had a weak
moment and decided to leave without their rings, but
the girls feared for their lives.
As soon as they thought it safe, the girls got loose
and ran to a neighbor’s place to call the police, since the
thieves had yanked the phone line out of the wall.
In the mean time, Deb was put into a van and
brought over state lines to D.C. where they raped her
repeatedly and then told her before they pushed her
out the van door, “don’t look at us”. It didn’t matter, she
didn’t look up but they shot her anyway.
Here she was, in a Washington DC neighborhood
and injured badly but someone in that neighborhood
actually called 911 and told them shots were fired and to
please come.
Being in DC, she was taken to DC General where
it was touch and go for awhile if she would even survive
her ordeal. On top of this, a few of the male workers
there would harass her which by now, mentally, she was
scared to death… again.
Her fiancés Jim, walked into her room, pulled the
plugs, wrapped her up in a blanket and carried her out
the door with hospital staff running after him. They told
him he could not do that!
Jim turned to them and told them “watch me”!
He took her to another hospital in their area and she
stayed there for quite awhile. Deb was very lucky to
survive her ordeal, more than you know.
These horrible men had murdered several people
before coming to Deb’s home shopping party. Fortunately
for Debbie, Lin’s twin sister and the other young ladies

Former American and now
Supreme Dictator J. Biden recently
indicated that the Supreme Court of
the United States could kiss his rosy-
red behind and that he...Biden...would forgive $127 billion
student loans in spite of any SCOTUS rulings against the
illegal action.
That’s just wrong on so many fronts folks. This is
simply a transparent plea for votes from the millions of
young Democrat-based college age people who have been
brainwashed by the Democrat agenda in our institutions of
higher education since time began. ( And escalated greatly
during the Socialist-leaning Obama’s administration).
How many people will get their debt paid by the rest of us?
How many will vote for “Uncle Joe? Enough to sway an
election? Most certainly.
The dust-up going on in Ukraine is yet another ploy
to garner votes from the almost two million Ukrainians
now living in the US, the heaviest enclave being in Brighton
Beach, New York. Washington, California and Florida also
have large populations of Ukrainians. Will there be enough
Ukrainian votes to sway an election. You betcha!
Joe wants another few billions to send to Israel to
fight Hamas. There are 7.145 million Jews living in Israel.
There are 5.8 million Jews living in the United States. Will
Biden’s transparent attempt to influence the Jewish vote in
America be a factor in the upcoming elections? I would
think not because the majority of the American Jews vote
Democrat anyway but how many will vote Republican
because of Biden’s largess towards Israel with your tax-
dollars? Enough to sway the election to our side? Most
likely not.
Biden promised he would stop construction of
Trump’s border wall if elected. He did and he was....Two
days after the inauguration he said “shut’er down boys!”
He then “invited” one and all to enter this country illegally
insuring they would be welcomed with open pocket books
in any one of our many “sanctuary cities” that had publicly
proclaimed the illegals would be safe, clothed, housed,
fed, cell-phoned and doctored in their cities. Now those
cities are crying for federal aid to do what they, themselves
promised to do for these criminal trespassers. Are you
aware there are 65 million Latinos and Hispanics living in
the US? Are you aware that Biden allowed upwards of 7
million more to infiltrate our country uninvited by you and
me? Immigration law reads (and I paraphrase here) that
a person will not be allowed to enter this country if that
person is indigent, without means to support themselves
or is a burden to the US Government, or will most likely
become dependent on government in the future. How
many of that 7 million or so people will come under that
category either now or in the future? And Biden wants
them all to be eligible to get a drivers license and to vote in
the upcoming election. I say BS to that! I say that every one
of these folks need to learn how to live here for at least five
years before they can vote in any federal election. Can their
votes sway the upcoming election? Indeed they can. And
will they vote for the person who built a portion of the wall
or for the person who stopped the construction and then
opene4d the borders full-wide? You be the judge.
OK...I hear ya’ asking me how many will become
productive citizens in the future? I can’t say but I can say
that right now when this country needs to protect itself
and its money this crazy administration is sending trillions
of your tax dollars out of country without any promises of
ever seeing any of it return. All the while our infrastructure
is crumbling under our very feet!
Then he appeased the Green Weenies by promoting
electric cars and shutting down the Keystone pipeline,
the later of the two cost Montana and other states billions
in revenue and tens of thousand good paying jobs. Most
of the folks effected by that insanity will most likely vote
Republican but our numbers lack the numbers to defeat
the bad guys.
For all those who entered under Biden’s ill-thought-
out invitation I have some sad news for you: If this election
goes the wrong way (Liberal) you will have entered a
country that will probably become what you just left behind
in a very few years. Comprende Amigo and Amiga?

quarter, capping off a 55 yard drive. Hunter Stevens booted
the PAT for a 7-0 lead. Then after the Panthers defense held
the /dawgs, they put together another nice drive. Jefferson
started at their own 38. Jack Johnson carried the ball for
time to get down to the Glasgow 29. Zody and Wagner
hooked up for the second score, this coming from 28-yards
out. Stevens kicked the extra point for a 14-0 lead with 6:08
to play in the half.
Khye Gamas took the Dawgs offense down to the
Jefferson 19 before turning the ball over on downs. Gsmas
and Tatum Hansen had a 47 yard pass play in the drive.
Glasgow would get another shot after the Dawgs defense
held Jefferson to a three-and-out. However, the Dawgs lost
yards before punting.
Glasgow’s struggles on offense continued in the
second half after taking the second half kickoff and failing
to move the ball. The Dawgs put up a goal-line stand when
the Panthers got down to the Glasgow 4. After a penalty
moved the Panthers back to the 26, Zody attempted a pass
in the end zone. But, Richards was there to knock the pass
down. That gave the Dawgs a chance to march down field
for their first touchdown of the game.
Gamas passed to Wyatt Babb for a first down at the
35. Then after an incomplete pass, Gamas gained a yard.
Richards followed that with a 23 yard run to the Jefferson
43. Richards then took it to the house for a 43-yard run
with 2:59 to play in the third. Rex Monson had his PAT
kick blocked.
The final seven minutes and 27 seconds of the game
was a wild one with each team scoring twice. Jefferson
capped a 57 yard drive with Johnson scoring on a 10-
yard run for a 20-6 lead. Glasgow blocked the extra point
attempt.
Glasgow answered and with a little help from the Panthers
defense, the Dawgs would reach the end zone again.
Glasgow started the drive at the 23 and after losing five
yards on a penalty, Gamas found Babb open for a 22 yard
gain. Gamas broke for a 26 yard run down to the Panthers
34. Glasgow lost some yards on two plays, then after two
failed passes the /dawgs got a break. The Panthers were
called on roughing the passer on a fourth down play.
That gave the Dawgs new life at the 30 where Gamas hit
Hansen for a touchdown with 5:32 to play. The two-point
conversion pass failed. Glasgow still trailed 20-14.
Glasgow got the ball back on an onside kick recovered
by Coy Nelson. But the /dawgs failed to move the ball. Luke
Strizich intercepted a Gamas pass, setting up the Panthers
final drive. Johnson capped off the drive with a 27-yard
touchdown. Stevens kicked the extra point for a 27-12 lead
with 1:49 to play.
The Dawgs would put together their final drive of the
season, starting at their own 47. Following five passes and
a run buy Gamas, the Dawgs were in the end zone. Gamas
scored from 10-yards out with no time on the clock. The
PAT was not attempted as it would not make any difference
on the outcome of the game.
Jefferson finished with 325 total yards with Zody
passing for 134 yards on 7 of 12 attempts. Johnson ran the
ball 22 times for 118 yards. The Panthers had 191 yards on
the ground.
Gamas was 11 of 18 for 125 yards. Hansen caught
three passes for 56 yards and Nelson three for 18. Glasgow
had 168 yards on the ground with Hansen rushing or 81
on six carries. Richards had five rushes for 52 yards.
