Glasgow’s first win of the season just about came Friday
night when the Scotties hosted Scobey-Opheim. The two
teams battled to a stalemate after 32 minutes with the game
tied at 34. The Spartans then took an eight point lead in
overtime and held off a late Glasgow surge for a 42-41 win.
Kennadi Cromwell scored the first bucket in overtime,
followed by Kaytie Aanstad after a Glasgow turnover, and
Camrie Holum after another turnover. Mya Green scored
after a third turnover for a 42-34 lead with 1:41 to play.
Aune converted an old-fashioned three-point play that
started a Glasgow rally. The senior had a steal and layup to
get the Scotties within 42-38. Following a Scobey-Opheim
turnover, Yoakam bagged a pair of throws with 1:05 to go
with the score 42-41.
