Huge Hug
for Hayden!
At the conclusion of the Glasgow
Scotties thumping up on the Poplar
Indians on Friday night (or shall
we call it Friday afternoon, the
match was over by about quarter
after five) Hayden Green was
greeted with a hug by her father,
Jay Green. Precious moment
indeed. Hayden, a six foot junior,
had an awesome match including
five blocks and seven kills. It
went quick as the Scotties put
it to the Indians 25-18, 25-8 and
25-15. Also with seven kills was
sophomore Joely Chappell. At
only 5’5”, she’s got some springs.
Freshman Gina Page had six
digs, junior Macy Martin had 19
assists, and the lone senior on the
roster, Tatum Nyquist, recorded
four aces. It was a great Friday
afternoon performance, but Sidney
was in town Saturday and took a
victory home. It was a hard-fought
match with the Eagles winning in
four: 25-17, 24-26, 28-26, 25-21.
Pointing to Mike Brandt’s story last
week, these young Scotties are a
scrappy bunch. Oh, and notice that
Montana hat Jay is wearing? He
wore jersey #66 for the Grizzlies
and is a Scotty Hall of Famer!
