Project Overview:

This Scope of Work (SOW) document outlines the requirements and specifications sought from a Service
Provider to be engaged by Sibanye Stillwater for the installation only of fencing material, including gates,
to be installed at Sibanye Protection Services SAV Rustenburg Operations.

Objective

The project involves the installation only of Cochrane ClearVu fencing material at SPS SAV Rustenburg.
The installation will be overseen by a project manager from Cochrane, which is the accredited installer.
The installation will be strictly according to Cochrane specifications not to compromise warrantees and
guarantees.

Majority of the existing fence consist of precast concrete fence panels and diamond mesh fencing
which is in a bad state. A small portion of the perimeter fence was replaced with Cochrane fencing
approximately 10 years ago and is in a good condition. This part of the fence will remain unchanged and
is not earmarked for replacement.

Due to the high security area it is necessary to replace fencing which is not up to standard with
Cochrane fencing products.

Scope of Work

Taking down existing fencing

• Removal of existing fencing and transport to an approved location selected by the client (all
types of fencing) to be done in phases not to compromise security. No open sections are allowed
after each shift.
• Inventory list to be kept of all fencing materials removed
• Vegetation clearing, tree felling and tree pruning where required

Installation shall include all posts, panels, wires, coils, bases, gates, motors etc.

Installation Only of the Following items:

• Installation of 1254m ClearVu-22 2.4m high around perimeter (to be done in phases not to
compromise security) No open sections are allowed after each shift.
• Installation of 1254m 450mm Galvanised Ripper Concertina Coil to top of fence
• Installation of 1254m 730mm Galvanised Ripper Concertina Coil to base of fence
• Installation of 370m ClearVu-22 2.1m high internal fence
• Installation of 370m 500mm Galvanised Ripper Flatwrap to top of fence
• Installation of 2x 1.2m and 2.4m high wide pedestrian gate
• Installation of 4x 0.9m wide and 2.1m high pedestrian gate
• Installation of 3x 3m wide and 2.1m high motorised sliding gate
• Installation of 2x 5m wide and 2.4m high motorised sliding gate
• Installation of 1x 6m wide and 2.1m high motorised sliding gate
• Installation of 2x 6m wide and 2.4m high motorised sliding gate
• Installation of 1x 8m wide and 2.1m high motorised sliding gate
• Installation of 1x D5 Smart gate motor including to standard
• Installation of 3x D10 Smart gate motors
• Installation of 1x D10 Smart gate motor
• Provision of electrical supply with isolator in waterproof enclosure, circuit breaker and certification
to each gate motor
Timeframes and Deliverables

Timeframe

Installation Only of fencing and gates should be completed in the second quarter of 2024. Detailed
timeframes will be available at tender stage.

Deliverables

Installation Only of end product to Cochrane and Sibanye Stillwater standards and complying to Sibanye
Stillwater Health and Safety regulations. Full on-boarding and approved safety file are required.
