2. DURATION / (பத க்காலம் )

 Duration / பத க் காலம் - 5 Years

 After 5 years – Automatic dissolution of the assembly (தானாக கைலக் கப் ப ம் )

 However Governor can dissolve the assembly any time even before the completion of 5 years.

 Duration can be extended by a law of parliament for one year at a time.
