B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson

Divide the class into 2. Let them name their group and make their own yell.
Setting standards before doing an activity Indicator 5

The first group who finished first, will be the winner. Indicator 1
Game: The Boat is sinking. MAPEH INTEGRATION/ESP INTEGRATION
Let them arrange themselves from tallest to tall.
What did you notice about their arrangement? Indicator 3
How did they arrange themselves?
What did you consider in arranging yourselves?

C. Presenting Examples/instances of new lesson

Call on a pupil to read the table below.
Indicator 1 & 2
The weights of the Three Space Probes are listed in the table. –SCIENCE INTEGRATION
Space Probe Weight in Tons
Starship 4636
Probe 4618
Quest 4652

Indicator 1 & 3
Do you know what Space Probes are?
What are Space Probes?
What is the weight of Starship? Probe? Quest?
If you will arrange their weights from heaviest to lightest or lightest to heaviest, how will you do it?- MAPEH
INTEGRATION
Indicator 1
Order the weights of the Space Probes from lightest to heaviest and then heaviest to lightest.
Solution 1: Using a number line –ENGLISH INTEGRATION

How did you arrange the weights from heaviest to lightest using a number line?
How did you line up the digits?
If there is another Space Probe which weighs 4628, where should it be placed?
When will you say that the numbers are arranged in increasing order? In decreasing order? Indicator 3
