SCHEDULE OF DAYWORK RATES

1. Daywork Rates

2. The time of chargehands (doing physical work) shall be brought to account, but the time for
foreman and walking overseers will be deemed included as supervision cost. Labour employed
on dayworks shall be based on the grade considered necessary by the Consultant for the
character and scope of work involved.

3. Only time spent exclusively on the variation work concerned and endorsed by the Consultant
will be allowed. A "Day" is defined as normal working day from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. (with 1 hour
break). Fractions of a day will be paid for "pro-rata".

4. The Following basic daywork rates which upon agreement and acceptance by the Quantity
Surveyors shall be the Contractor's prime cost :-
