To whom it may concern,

I am pleased to be writing to you regarding the New Graduate RN Transition to Practice Program at Rady
Children’s Hospital. I am looking forward to coming back home to California to pursue my career and I
am confident that I embody the integrity, compassion, and skillset to be an ideal candidate for this
position.

I am graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in
Nutritional Sciences in December 2023. A pediatric nurse must not only be a strong patient advocate, but
confident in their critical-thinking skills; I am both. I recognize the importance of bringing compassion to
each aspect of care while incorporating interdisciplinary communication to ensure optimal patient
physical and mental care. I completed my nursing preceptorship in the Emergency Department where I
gained 180 hours of experience within a faced-paced environment with patients in critical condition. In
addition, I have 135 hours of clinical experience in pediatric care, including an additional 75 hours in
obstetric care. Within my educational experience, I have gained the necessary assets of pediatric
assessments and medication administration.

In addition to my education, organized and founded a nonprofit organization which I titled the Confetti
Club. I reached out to Rainbow Services, a women's and children’s shelter in San Pedro, California. This
shelter provided safe housing and support with their goal being to empower survivors towards both safety
and stability. As these mothers were unable to provide their children with activities they had in their
previous lives, my goal was to provide support during this harsh time. Within this club, I put together
birthday boxes that included everything a child would need to have their own birthday while being
displaced from home, empowering children and their mothers. I aspire to bring empathy and support to
children and families in every time of distress.

I strongly identify with the mission of Rady Children’s, and I will uphold those expectations through
every aspect of my care. I look forward to hearing from you and I appreciate your time and consideration.
