Activity 5: Community Engagement and Co-Curricular Activities

This assignment requires you to find out about the involvement of parents and other community members in
the school, as well as the students’ involvement in co-curricular activities in the school and the community.

1. Speak to your Cooperating Teacher and other school staff and find out how parents and
community members are involved in the school. Are they encouraged to be involved? What
impact does their involvement have on the school?

Parents engagements is essential for a school’s success. Parents constant monitoring and monitoring
of their children keeps them informed about their academic success. We hold parent teacher
conferences for this purpose. However, due of their lack of information, parent’s response is not
health. Another problem is that village parents are workers who do not have the time or knowledge
to talk about their children. However, we continue to have physical and telephone touch with them.
We invite them to special events. Such as the 23rd of March and the 14th of August, for debate. We
showcase our presentation to them and inform them about their children’s current activities and
performances. we encourage them to devote their time after school to their children.

2. Find out what co-curricular activities i.e. sports day and debates are organized in the school?
What impact do these activities have on the students?

We are pleased that, thanks to the provision of adequate playgrounds, all sporting activities are
conducted at school. Our student are extremely gifted. Our children have competed in many games
in the nearby schools with sufficient preparation. Theses athletic activities offer several advantages.
Their physical condition has improved, as have their interpersonal abilities. We continue to organize
competition among classes.
Debating is something that our kids are really enthusiastic about. Debate tournaments are something
we constantly engage in. this is really beneficial in terms of increasing their communion sills and
self-assurance.
Co-curricular activities play a vital role in a student's overall development by promoting teamwork,
leadership skills, and enhancing social and communication skills. Sports contribute to physical
fitness, while debates foster critical thinking and effective communication. Both activities can
positively impact students' academic performance and holistic growths.
