2023 SIGAW KALYE COMPETITION GUIDELINES

1. There is no limit on participants for each competing group as long as they are bonafide
residents of the barangays they represent.

2. Routine must be within a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes. Five points
shall be deducted from the final score of each participating team for every thirty (30) seconds,
or increment thereof, in excess of the allocated for five (5) minutes.

1. Chants can be accompanied by clapping. There is no voice-over or recorded voice to make


the team chant, cheer, and yell loud and clear. The concept is unlimited and freestyle. Dance
art is highly appreciated to promote originality, creativity, and high novelty.

2. Routines must be appropriate for family viewing. Any vulgar or suggestive movements and
words may result in disqualification. Uniforms must also be decent.

3. All props must be registered and cleared with the organizer prior to the performance.
Pyrotechnics and other similar dangerous or hazardous props are strictly prohibited. There is
a limit of only two (2) handheld “safe props” to be used by the performers the use of signs,
flags, banners, or other spirit-related props is highly recommended.

4. All performances are continuous, right after the first entry will be followed by the next entry,
and so on and so forth.

5. The competition will be on April 10, 2023, at 5:30 in the afternoon

6. The criteria for judging are as follows:

Dynamics & Synchronization 30%
Originality 20%
Composition of Yells and Cheers 20%
Total 100%

7. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
