 1. Giới từ In được dùng trong câu để chỉ nơi chốn với tính chất:
 Khoảng không gian lớn: vũ trụ, thành phố, thị trấn, quốc gia. Ví dụ; In
space, In Ha Noi,..
 Khoảng không gian chứa nước như biển, đại đương, hồ,… Ví dụ; in the
river; in the ocean,…
 Các hàng, đường thẳng. Ví dụ; in a column
 Cái hộp, trong một phòng, tòa nhà- không gian khép kín. Ví dụ; In a box,
in this room,…
 In (không có mạo từ): chỉ một người đang ở nơi nào đó. Ví dụ; in police
office, in restaurant,..
 Phương hướng. Ví dụ; In the South/ North/ West,..
2.Cách dùng giới từ On (trên, có bề mặt tiếp xúc)
Giới từ chỉ địa điểm On được dùng để diễn tả những nơi chốn có tính chất:
 Vị trí trên bề mặt. Ví dụ: On the surface/ floor/ table/…
 Trước tên đường. Ví dụ: On Lê Hồng Phong street
 Phương tiện đi lại (trừ car, taxi). Ví dụ: On the plain, on the bus,…
 Chỉ vị trí. Ví dụ: on the bottom/top of something
 Cụm cố định. Ví dụ: on phone, on internet
3. Giới từ chỉ nơi chốn At (ở) – Cách dùng và ví dụ minh họa
Giới từ chỉ nơi chốn – ngữ pháp tiếng Anh quan trọng
Giới từ At (tại nơi nào đó) được dùng để chỉ:
 Địa điểm cụ thể. Ví dụ: at the airport/ supermarket/ shop/…
 Chỉ số nhà. Ví dụ; At 30 Le Hong Phong street
 Chỉ nơi làm việc, học tập. Ví dụ: at university/ school/…
