Questions
First that I find useful is the library. Because in the library, there are plenty of resources that students can use in their
learning. Also, the library provides computers that students can use. The library is also the place where students can
take a rest. Students can take a nap in there. The second facility that I find useful is the faculty room. Why? The
faculty room is the place where teachers spend their time planning and creating lessons in which promotes their learning
and development. When a student cannot understand something in the lesson, they can go to the faculty room and
ask for clarifications if the teacher is available.
The outdoor garden is a facility that is less useful because it has nothing to do with the students learning. The outdoor
garden is helpful in terms of aesthetics. Sometimes outdoor gardens can be helpful as a stress reliever to someone who
sees and love to see these gardens.
3. Are there other facilities you observed/remembered that are not stated above? If yes, list them below.
None.

Pangasinan State University Bayambang Campus is at the Municipality wherein it supports the education sector of
the town. Before the pandemic, everyone is allowed to go to the Municipal library where they can borrow books that
can help in their learning. Another is that the Municipal Government helps the Barangay Day Care Centers improve and
enhance these centers so that they will become better learning facilities for children.

1. What are the classroom management strategy(ies) that you have observed?
When we attended the class of Ms. Dalit, I observed that she is very thoughtful with her students. She used polite
language when she was discussing the body parts, and her pupils are attentively participating in the class. She stated
rules before the class starts, and that is to raise their virtual hands when they want to answer and mute/unmute their
microphones when they are told to do so. She inspired the class by praising them with words like “good” and “very good.”
With these praises, Ms. Dalit helped her pupils develop self-esteem.
Ms. Dalit’s strategies were seen when she was discussing the body parts, like what I’ve stated in no. 1. I also noticed that
her class was very active, maybe because their lesson is all about the parts of the body wherein the children already have
background knowledge. The pupils were excited and glad because of it. They were also very attentive and
participative.
3. What management strategy did the teacher utilize to keep the learning environment safe and
conducive?
Ms. Dalit set classroom rules and was enthusiastic with her lesson. She allowed her pupils to be openly expressive
and encouraging to others. And I also observed that she knows all the names of her students. With the help of this, her
pupils are happy and excited to participate in the class. After her pupils recited, she used positive comments. She listened
well to her pupils’ answers that is why when she is discussing, her pupils are listening to her as well. Ms. Dalit made her
pupils feel like they were at home and comfortable, and the result was her pupils were more receptive to learning.

My Analysis
I consider a facility useful if it helps to improve the quality of the learning environment in the school. Not just only for aesthetics.
Facilities should help determine the success of students and the effectiveness of a teacher’s lesson.
When do you say that a facility aids learning? Cite some instances.
The facilities of a school impact the overall learning process as well as the mental and physical growth of the students. These also
affect the academic performance of the student to some extent. Students can use the school’s library to look for the answers to
their assignments or do some research. The computer laboratory is also a big help for the students, specifically those who
would like to be an IT specialist. The gymnasium is not only for the events, but it is also where we can perform and learn
different activities for our subject Physical Education.
The learning environment plays a crucial role in students’ success. Students who study in a positive learning environment
are more motivated, engaged, and have higher overall learning ability. On the other hand, students learning in poor
environments – those that are uncomfortable, loud, or full of distractions – will find it far more difficult to absorb information and
stay engaged. For example, a student taking a test in a quiet, peaceful room will almost certainly do better than a student taking the
same test in a loud/chaotic room. From the class that we observed, I've noticed that the microphone/audio of the teacher is not loud
enough, and there are unnecessary noises that cause distractions which make it difficult for the teacher to manage the class.
Students spend most of their time in the classroom, so educators need to ensure that their students have a conducive environment
that promotes long learning. The classroom is conducive to learning when it promotes a safe and comfortable environment not just for
the students but also for the teacher. Aside from that, students felt motivated in doing a task or participating in the class, they felt
focused, refreshed, and relaxed while studying for a reason that no distraction will cause loss of their concentration. The environment that
the students stay in for how many hours is a setting where the students are enjoying while learning. A classroom is conducive to
learning when it promotes interaction to each student and everyone in the class are motivated to learn because the classroom setting suits
their interest also when the layout and arrangement of the classroom encourage students to be productive like having a quiet corner, fun
corner or even a discussion corner so the students wouldn’t feel bored.
My Reflection
1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed/remembered? Why? Why not?
Yes, despite the many distractions or problems we encountered in this new learning modality, I still want to
teach in the school environment that I've observed. Before the class started, the teacher reminded her students
about the virtual classroom rules. The students didn't follow what Ms. Dalit said, it became noisy throughout the
class, and I can't hear and understand well. There are background noises like a parent talking to their child or
even a barking dog, and someone's microphone is grounded. If this continues until we are already licensed
professional teachers, it would be a challenge for us on how we are going to handle our students and promote
learning. It may be hard to teach because of this virtual class, but still, teachers are trying their best to teach
their students.
2. If you are the teacher, how can you make the environment conducive to learning?
I’ll create an environment where students feel safe, comfortable, and secured. I’ll make sure that the classroom
has a light atmosphere or aura. Since children are playful, I will design a class that promotes safety. Avoid slippery
floors, and scissors or sharp objects must be kept. In my class, the interest of my students must be seen in the
four corners of my classroom. There’s a play area, a quiet corner, and also the achievements or works of my
class are posted on the wall. When it’s lesson time I’ll make sure that my students are focused on the discussion
and away from distractions. Design activities that will surely enjoy and capture the students’ interest. Make them
join and interact with class even those shy or quiet students. Make your class alive. Have a games corner so
students can interact with their classmates as they foster a closer relationship with one another while they
learn. Games can help to reduce stress for the students. When we support games, we teach students strategy,
friendship, cooperation, and leadership.

Classroom management is a very important aspect of teaching. Once you get your classroom management
strategies together you will find that teaching is a pleasure and your students will excel at learning. When you
organize classroom effectively, your students know what are their responsibilities and know their
boundaries in every situation. A successful classroom management system will help prevent teacher burnout
and reduce the need for yelling or scolding students that can cause friction to the students and teacher. This
kind of environment enhances learning.
4. If you are to design a learning environment for your students, how will it look like? Illustrate.
When you enter the classroom, you will first notice the chalkboard on your right side. Across the
chalkboard are the students’ chairs. If you observed, it is grouped into three members. The reason for that is to
encourage children to learn from one another and work together because, with these, we can help them boost
their productivity and students’ collaboration. At the back is the teacher’s desk. I know you are wondering why
is that the teacher’s table is at the back and not in front, that is because we highly believed that by sitting at the
back of the classroom, the teacher has less chance of blocking the student’s view of the board. Also, students will
not be shy in approaching the teacher because no one will see them and they can ask questions or help from the
teacher without hesitation. On the right part of the classroom are the bookcases, and storage cabinets for the
students to have their personal space inside the classroom to store their personal belongings. This is also where
the medical kit is kept because we cannot tell when the students will have wounds when they are having fun.
Beside the storage cabinet are those things that they needed for the class, like pencils, sharpeners, and
crayons. On the left side of the classroom is where the small group table is located. This can help teachers
and students to work more closely with each other. And beside it is the learning centers.
