I. OBJECTIVES
Most Essential describes musical elements of given Classical period pieces .
Learning explains the performance practice (setting, composition, role of
Competencies composers/performers, and audience) during Classical Period.

a. Introduction
Through the facilitator the learner will answer Learning Task 1: Search for
the five musical elements from the word puzzle below. Write a short
definition or description about the element.
Read and study pages 8 to 11.
b. Development On the D-Phase of the module, the learners will answer Learning Task 2:
(Optional. Do this if you have the means to access the internet). Open the
link or scan the QR code. Watch and listen to the recordings. Analyze the
music and answer the given questions with the help of your parents,
guardian, or siblings. Answer question 1-5.
c. Engagement The learner will engage himself/herself in making a graphic organizer that
shows the difference among Sonata, Concerto, Symphony, and Classical
opera. The graphic organizer must be comprehensive and neat.
d. Assimilation The learner will cite the values you can derived from the stories or
lives of the three composers in the Classical era.

the lesson.
1. How will you relate the changes of music in the Classical period in its
history?
2. What is the connection of Classical music with other art forms?
b. Development On the D-Phase of the module, the students will answer the learning task 1
on page 24- A. Classify the following musical instruments if it is Percussion
instrument, String instrument, Woodwind instrument, or Brass instrument.
c. Engagement The learner will engage himself/herself doing the Learning Task 5: Draw a
symbol that will represent the relation of Classical era and Classical
music. Write a short explanation about it.
d. Assimilation The learner will answer the learning task 3 on page 26. Using the table
below, write a short description of at least three musical instruments per
family of instruments.
