The teacher will use a flashcards containing the different kinds of instruments. Th
students will identify on what classification of instruments where the instrument
belong as the teacher show the pictures in the flash cards.
The teacher will show four pictures of the composers which are related to the
topic of the day.
The teacher will let the student to guess what’s on the picture, facilitate, assess t
students answer, and present the topic.
The teacher will start presenting the lesson of the day Contemporary music of the
Philippines by introducing Lucio San Pedro “Kayumangging Malaya”. Then, the
teacher will proceed to the main topic “Lucio San Pedro” The teacher will let the
student to think what “kayumangging” Malaya is.
Then the teacher will discuss and analyze the music elements of the piece.

sing the lyrics with proper rhythm and pitch. Then the teacher guides the stude
to sing the piece by sing first the So-fa syllables.
