MINUTES OF THE DEACONS' ASSEMBLY MEETING HELD ON THE 12TH NOVEMBER, 2023.

1.0 ATTENDANCE: Eighty one (81) ordained workers, units head and assistant
were in attendance
2.0 COMMENCEMENT: The meeting started at exactly 12:15p.m. The opening
prayer was said by Dcns. Victoria Sobemekun. The praise and worship was led by
Dcns. Olawuyi Felicia. The thanksgiving and intercessory prayer were conducted
by Dcns. Dosumu Omolara and Dcns. Adediran Kemi.
3.0 Charge
Dcns. Funmi Abraham charged the house from the books of Psalms 67: 11 which
was captioned It is not Over until it is Over. She said that the year is just ending
but it has not ended; if God can create the whole world within six days, two
months is too much for us to change our stories. She cited the examples of Peter
and Abraham. She also admonished everyone to do the following:
 Ventilate your heart by assuring yourself that something good can still
happen to you this year.
 Don’t stay in the company of the defeated.
 Keep rejoicing
She finally said that what you will gain depend on what you are doing. She prayed
that God will grant us the grace to remain expectant in Jesus mighty name.
4.0 Reading of the Last Minutes of the Meeting
4.1 Observation from the minutes of the meeting.
Dcn. John Nwadiokwu observed that the date for the birthday celebrants should
be October not July as it was read in the minutes of the meeting.
4.2 Motion for Adoption
The motion for the adoption of the minutes of the last meeting held on the 8 th
October, 2023 was moved by Dcns. Olayemi Ariyibi and was seconded by Dcns.
Stella Atere.
The chairman welcomed everyone present to the meeting and announced that
auditorium management would not hold after the meeting as scheduled because
of low turnout of ordained workers to the meeting. He promised that a re-
scheduled date would be communicated later.
5.0 Cutting of cake

Dcn. Sesan Surname anchored the cutting of cake for November and December
birthday celebrants while Dcn. James Okerinde and Dcn. Segun Ogiundeji prayed
for them respectively.

6.0 Matters Arising From the Last Minutes of the Meeting.

6.1 Breakthrough Face-Lift Project

The chairman appreciated every ordained worker for their prayers and
contributions towards the on-going Breakthrough Facelift Project. He said that job
had commenced on the WWW pillar at the Breakthrough Entrance. He also said
that we needed about 10 drums of trowel paints to complete the third W. He
said that this would be done before Shiloh 2023. He also gave the financial update
of the project account.
6.2 Dress Code
The chairman said that if anyone has questions concerning the dress code, he or
she should come to the Deacons Board office for clarifications.
6.3 Special Support Group (SSG)
The chairman appreciated all the members of the above group. He said that three
ordained workers were catered for financially as at 12th November, 2023. He also
said that if any of the assembly members had anything to assist other members,
it can be sent through the committee.
6.4 Marriage Excellence Season 3
The chairman appreciated and recognized the Marriage excellence 2023
committee members for a job well done. He also appreciated God for what He did
during the program. He said that the C.Ds of the program is available at the
Dominion Bookshop at a token price.
6.4.1 Observations / Remarks on Marriage Excellence 2023
Dcns. Adegboyega, Olusola said that the program was perfect and that we need
this type of program more often. This was also supported by Dcns. Justina
Oyakhire.
Dcn. Adedayo Adesina said that we can have this program on February. He also
said that the children were not well catered for.
The chairman said that the program was meant for couples not children.
7.0 Business of the Day
7.1 Communion Feedback
Dcns. Nike Odetola said that she observed that some wavers are joined together.
She also asked that if someone is serving communion around the altar and the
wavers is not enough can the person leave her serving point to get more wavers.
The chairman said that no but the Deacons Board member should take care of
that.
Dcns. Abosede Olojede observed that the children church was not given enough
blood.
Dcns. Olusola Adegboyega said that the communion stewards did not know
average attendance of the children church but it was noted in case of another
time.
8.0. Offering

Dcn. Segun Ogundeji anchored and prayed on the offering.

9.0 Fumigation of Church Auditorium

The chairman appreciated the head of units and some people who contributed
personally towards the fumigation of the church.

10.0 Shiloh 2023

The chairman said that as many that would be around for Shiloh should make
themselves available for service during Shiloh. He also said that we should dress
for corporate during Shiloh.
10.0 AOB
Dcns. Funmi Abraham said that she observed that some offering baskets are
getting bad. She suggested that the bad ones could be replaced with the old ones
that are in good shape.

Dcn. Hafford Ajiwokwu said that he observed that some workers do dress
anyhow.

The chairman said that we are leaders; we should try to dress represent our units.

Dcn. first name Ajaiyeoba said that we should not wait for the announcement
before we attend our monthly meeting because everyone knows that the second
Sunday of every month is ordained workers meeting.

10.3 Motion for Adjournment

Dcn. Tolu Sanni moved the motion for the adjournment of the meeting and was
seconded by Dcns. Esther Sanni .

The closing prayer was said by the Board Chairman at 1:40p.m.
