Activity: DEBATE: Which is better, traditional or modern BIOTECHNOLOGY?


Description: The teacher will assign a leader from the class. They will be divided into two groups which will represent the 2
types of biotechnology. This will serve as their PeTa 1 for this quarter. Students will need to cite statements about their
topics. Also, they are not allowed to read while stating their sides. Resources are allowed but not during the argument.

Students will need to prepare for a quiz on Wednesday about Traditional and Modern Biotechnology

Students will also have a debate on Wednesday which will serve as their PeTa 2 for this quarter.
The teacher will also have a discussion about their PeTa 1 for this quarter. (Trends or Trivia in Biotechnology) This will be
presented before every biotechnology session. The class will do it by pair or by dyads.
