PLATE TITLE: A PROPOSED TWO-STOREY DUPLEX

DESIGN PROBLEM: The duplex house is intended for two families, sharing one common wall. Each unit
has a limited budget for building that can pool their resources together on an average sized lot. This
duplex house is design for the lower upper income class who are just starting to have their own home.
Intended gross floor area for each unit ranges from 100 to 130 square meters with a lot of 270 square
meters. Each model should have 3 bedrooms, with 2 toilets and baths, living, dining and kitchen area. A
two-storey duplexes, maintaining the privacy of each unit.

PROJECT FEATURES: The site is a regular rectangular lot with a frontage of 18 meters with a total area
of 270sqm, bounded on the left with a 1 storey residential building, on the right by an apartment building,
on the rear by a private owned lot and a 6-meter RROW on the front.

Orientation: N 30º00’ W
