IEP Meeting Notes

 Two brother with IEP

 Reevaluation of IEP this year
 Mother did not pick up the call for the one brother last
 Once the special educator joined the call, they remember the dad is now allowed to
hear what was happening
 Dad picked up the call immediately and was very engaged

 Student had a hard time transitioning to the school a year ago.

 Grades dropped
 Student struggles greatly in math
 Student was placing in geometry that is taught by special education
 Student began to understand and accel
 Student needs to work on continuing his work outside of the classroom
 Student is falling behind in his reading skills
 Student is getting accommodation for this

 Dad was stressing out important is was for his boys to ask questions and to be okay with
not knowing
 Dad had IEP in school, so he wanted what was best for his kids
 No major changes were made to the IEP other than increasing the help in the math
classroom.
