About the Role:

We are searching for a passionate and dedicated professional to join us as an Academic

Specialist for Science.

As an Academic Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and improving our curriculum
as a subject-matter expert. Your main goal will be to make our technology platform a credible
source of quality educational content for both educators and learners. You will ensure that our
curriculum is effective and aligns with the Department of Education's educational standards. As
an expert, you will optimize our content to cater to the needs of diverse learners and maximize
the platform's potential in the market. Your expertise will be crucial in creating high-quality
educational materials for our clients, from crafting curriculum maps to hands-on writing, editing,
and publishing the finalized content.

You will contribute directly to the elevation of Quipper’s brand, making Quipper Philippines a
standard of quality and innovation in the educational technology industry. This role reports to
the Academic Associate Manager under the Content Department.

Responsibilities:

● Subject Matter Expertise: Provides expertise for the assigned subject/group across
content creation phases and contributes specialized knowledge during content review
cycles

● Content Production: Manages end-to-end production or a phase of production. This

includes hands-on writing, editing, finalizing, encoding, and publishing of the contents as
required.
 ● Content Development: Curriculum map creation and input during prototyping and
development phases.

● Quality Assurance: Ensuring that the assigned subject matter meets quality standards
by adhering to standard guidelines and format..

● Other Responsibilities: Takes on ad-hoc projects like partnership development,

handles tasks below the current level during resource constraints, and performs other
duties as assigned by the manager.

Who are we looking for:

Minimum Qualifications:

● Must have graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, majoring in any of the
following fields of Science: Chemistry and/or Physics
● At least 3 years of teaching experience in the above subjects (with 2 years minimum in a
face-to-face learning setting).
● Must have experience in creating and developing learning materials tailored for teachers
and students, specifically focusing on the Science (Chemistry & Physics) subject.
● Must have education and/or publishing-related training.
● Extensive knowledge of science for basic education
● Background for ed-tech trends specific to Science
● Familiar with the Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed) or any other style guidelines for
writing and editing
● Familiar with the DepEd K-12 curriculum, Bloom’s taxonomy, and other learning
pedagogies specific to Science
● Proficient in Google Suite apps such as Docs, Slides, and Sheets

Job Type: Full-time, Regular

Work Location: Hybrid Work Set-up (Some office days may be required, mostly
