Figure 4. SWOT Presentation

SWOT Analysis

Strength

Ube flavor pancake is nothing else quite similar which is a potential strength to

the business. Have you heard of anyone that doesn’t like pancakes? Probably not and

because of this Ubelicious Pancakes have a large target market which includes generally

everyone from adolescents to adults, appealing to various ages groups is a major strength.

Ubelicious Pancakes will also offer a Facebook Page which will promote menus, prices,

10
specials etc. to possible consumers. A Facebook page makes it easier for the consumer to

make decisions and even better promoting our business, being another strength.

Weaknesses

With all the strengths of Ubelicious Pancakes and the amount of success it will be

able to bring there are however many weaknesses that can prevent the business growth.

One of these weaknesses is that Ubelicious Pancakes is not known to the public yet so a

lot of advertising is going to have to be done in order for this business to build a

reputation and become a well-known business. The last weakness of the business is that

many people have the mindset that pancakes are all sugar and really bad for you and this

could affect the amount of people willing to purchase our product. The solution to this is

that we must show the public the menu and the benefits of Ube in our pancake.

Opportunity

As Ubelicious Pancakes is a brand-new business there are many opportunities that

are made available as the business grows. The major opportunity of Ubelicious Pancakes

has is that there are no other Ube pancake businesses in Brgy. Zone 16 this would

generate a large amount of market demand. Future expansion could also include turning

the business into a franchise which would enable Ubelicious Pancakes to operate in other

place and reach more markets. There is an opportunity for Ubelicious Pancakes to

advertise and offer promotions via social media. This would generate more revenue as the

market demand would increase due to social media being such an effective way to reach a

large amount of people.

11
Threats

As Ubelicious Pancake is a new business with a brand-new idea it would mean

that people will not be familiar with it, to overcome this we could create an advertising

campaign by handing out fliers at major shopping centers and creating a website to attract

people. As there is no other business like Ubelicious Pancake in Brgy. Zone 16 we don't

have much competition, but there are other businesses providing similar products, so to

keep our customers we will provide different deals to suit every budget, and provide the

best quality product.
