Training Design

 The Course Outline:

This training is designed specifically to the instructors at the political science

department to enhance their use of the new e-learning software and to integrate

.technology in the teaching process

 Course Title: Classroom Technology

 Target Audience:

This course is designed for teachers, instructors, teaching assistants, lecturers,

trainers, university staff and professionals who deliver lectures and sections to

graduate and under-graduate students; and more broadly to the professionals involved

in the teaching process.

 Course Description:

This professional development course is designed to provide participants with the

know-how of using classroom technology. It provides the knowledge and skills

needed to integrate technology in the teaching process. Through this training

participants will learn how to engage, and motivate students through using classroom

technology, enhance the subject material and meet the course objectives. The training

explores quick-and-easy, standards-based solutions and helps in creating an active

learning process in and after class.


 Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the sessions, participants should be able to use the e-learning system

.and to demonstrate it to their students

Module 1. Understanding the E-Learning System

1. Discuss the importance of integrating technology in the teaching process.

2. Identify the key components of the e-learning system

3. Use the e-learning system and demonstrate how to use it, individually

Module 2. Integrating Technology in Lesson Plan

4. Develop subject related e-board discussions

5. Grade the students’ participation based on their e-board discussions

6. Integrate with the students using emails

Module 3. Library and Resources

7. Identify different e-learning library and resources channels

8. Practice using the e-learning library and to reflect that on their research

9. Assign the students to use the e-learning library and resources.

Module 4. Exams and Evaluation

10. Identify the different e-learning evaluation techniques

11. Construct a question bank and upload it to the e-learning system

12. Using the e-learning system, create an online exam with its evaluation tools.

The training is to be delivered on 2 days: 4 hours per day with each session of
2 hours
