Call to order (8:30 am)

A meeting of pastoral team COG was held at padova hotel on 23 february 2024.

Attendees included P. Said Dib, Cecile Dib, Joumana, Louis, Charbel, Hadi, Gaby, Samia, Bassem,
Racha, Ephraim .

Session 1 (9:00 am)

Ephraim : introducing the book « teach every nation » a book of 5 sections that last one whole
year. All books are advanced and not for begginers at all they are for discipleship. Each course
has 8 subjects. Ephraim explained how the teaching should go and then we watched a video of
one session of the book about forgivness.
Discussion about the system/book:
- Gaby: First the pastoral team should take on lesson the session and after a while give it to
other. (Maybe we can do it in the bekaa valley with Kiro…
- Cecile: maybe we should only take it as pastoral team and then wait for others to be able
to lead and be mature before giving it. It should be our program.
- Ephraim: I agree with Cecile, we should have it as a group. I think if we take a course, and
we should go into the whole lesson not just one of each.
- Bassem: we could watch it at home and discuss on Friday. If we watch the videos at
home, we can do it in our own timing. We could take the USB in turn just to get an idea.
- Said: maybe take it in one day conference. This book goes for leaders and 2 nd and 3rd year
students.
- Rasha: I agree with Bassem watch home and come with questions.

Session 2 (10:40 am)

Joumana : I will be talking about the ma3had and I will later give Melody the mic. As me know
the ma3had starts with the masira … and we are now talking abit the corriculum for year 2 and
3. Mondays we didn’t have a vision for the food portions. So it was really hard to tell them we
will not be doing it anymore. Since we have more than a 100 people now and we saw that
Syrians don’t have a church we thought we should call all disciples to come to church. If they
come for the food portion we don’t want it. Therefore we will call them if they are in our church
to get discipled and follow the masira. We took the liberty to make the Monday meeting from
10:00 till 11:30 instead of 11:00 to see who is really commited. We can make bit like a Sunday
meeting. The only problem is that we don’t have a clear topic or vision. So we wanna put a Topic
for each month for exemple (family topic) like social topics we dom’t give on Sunday and after a
while we can start putting them in discipleship groups. We take attendance and start putting
them in small groups. We won’t have a semester but a month or month and half. The second
option is to not change anything Monday but do an other meeting on Wednesday for example.
